Surreal Human/Nature Portrait

I did not take any of these photos, but when I saw the photo of Sharbat Gula on National Geographic, I suddenly remembered that there was this project. I then decided to use her as my subject for the surrealism and when I looked at the color of her scarf ( hijab? ) I thought of the Grand Canyon and looked up "red rocks". After getting both of the photos, I opened up a new file, added the background and then resized and moved the photo of Sharbat Gula to where I thought it would fit. Because the original color of the rocks were too orange, I decided to color over it with a red and blend it in with her scarf ( hijab? ).

Shape/Color Cartoon Character

This is Ipsum and she is my idea of what a cup of pudding would look like. Because I lived in Japan last year, I suddenly remembered all of the good food I bought ( and wasted my money on ) and decided to make my character based on pudding. Ipsum was born in a pudding factory in Japan and is now sailing down a river of chocolate on her plate. She is usually chill and goes with the flow, like the way a cup of pudding would jiggle whichever way you forced it to. ( that sounds weird lol ) But if you anger her ( which is very hard to do ) she will cut you with her scythe/sharp spoon. Her favorite things to do is listening to music ( K-Pop ) and dancing ( she just wiggles ). Her least favorite things are other people's unwanted opinion and zucchini. Ipsum's job is a ferry man for other people's characters to cross the chocolate river.

Puzzle Face

This is my Puzzle Face Project that was kind of fun. It was really hard finding a decent photo of myself so I just went on my phone and found this photo that I sent to my friend after doing my makeup. I then finally figured out how to use the "marquee" tool and actually used it correctly ( I think ). I then went to Edit, selected Stroke, and then put the width of the pixels to 7.

Zombify Yourself

This is my zombify yourself project. I took a photo with Shriya in Photobooth doing weird hand motions because we are very awkward. I think this is my worst project yet because I don't really like the way that the cracked skin is. I think it is way too large so I had to really shrink the picture of cracks down and lower the opacity to less than 20% and add discoloration to our exposed body parts. Then, I decided to make our eyes glow by adding a dark, dull, base color and then a brighter shade right in the middle of it. Now, I realize that I kind of look like a tan vampire with red eyes and black hair and Shriya looks like a werewolf with the yellow eyes.

Color Focus on Black and White Photo

On the top is the original photo. At first I wanted to repaint the water but then I realized that it did not have that many colors. And then I saw the pagodas ( I mean, how could I not? ) and decided to recolor it because I really liked the way it brought the focus to each part of the photo as the little building on the right is also colored, albeit only with dull colors.

Self with Former Self

The person on the left, or creature, is me dressing up for Halloween in 2016. I'm trying to mimic my weird arm poses because when I smiled for a camera I always looked broken, be it my arm or leg. The original photo of me was just a portrait and stopped at where my current arm ends. Because I made the photo of me on a blank file that was a landscape type I had to draw the rest of the wall. After taking a photo of myself ( the current me obvi ) I resized the image and added a light shadow using a very "fuzzy" brush at a low opacity.

Repetition Portrait

This is my Repetition Portrait. To do this, I had Haly go behind me and stick her hands out by my head. After that, I opened up a new file, stuck this photo on there on Layer 2 ( the white background being Layer 1 ) and then lassoed her left hand. After that,  I moved it to a different file where the original photo was the first layer and then duplicated the hands twice to create three on my left side. Then I did the same to the right. Next, I got this random photo of fire and lowered the opacity and kind of erased all of the remaining white part.

Celebrity Photobomb!

In this photo I went to the Bellagio in Las Vegas with my family over the weekend. I then searched up for a semi nice photo of a celebrity but then decided choosing a celebrity I knew which was Jimin from the K-Pop band BTS ( which you should definitely go stan *wink wink* ) Because he was already on a white background, I used the magnetic lasso tool and then took the cutout to my family photo.

Cartoon Head on a Regular Body

This is my real face, which is in a slight imitation of Jigsaw ( I am just making stuff up because this doesn't even remotely look like him ) I decided to draw a little red cowboy hat to prepare myself for my move to Texas. Before that, I drew a circle in black and then filled that with white using the bucket tool. I also drew very thick eyebrows that were inspired by my brother.

Create Your Own Font

This is my font that I created. Some people may think that I just rushed through this project just to get it over with, but they are very wrong because I spent a lot of time working on it. I wanted to create a font that would make the people who used it laugh because it is just so amazing. Just like how the ugly duckling was the only ugly one, I tried to make each letter different so they could be unique.
