Create an Album Cover

This is my album cover for my band "A Chick's Phases". This was a really fun project for me to do because I got to pick out cool images. First I found a cool photo of a wave and then I opened up a new blank file and resized the wave to fit half of the blank page. Then,  I duplicated the layer and flipped it upside down. After doing that I wrote a little message that you can kind of see and kind of not see at the same time ( because I english). THE CHICKEN IS AN EMOOOOO. ( like Shriya ) and it goes through its different phases like the moon. ( it went through soft szn in Easter. )

Image Inside Text

This is my Image Inside Text. I actually really like the clean look of the white and the waves because it really is simple but not ugly. Also the word itself is pretty to me. Serendipity is the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. It also is the name of a song that you should totally listen to~~~~

Hockney-esque "Joiner"

This is my take on the Hockney-esque "JOiner" which was very fun. I really like looking at this because although I did nOt add anything different or weird about it I think it looks really funny because my brother is just all weird looking and his arm looks weird ( because I don't know any other words ). To do this took a really long time because my computer would take 10 minutes just to save it and it was very stressful but I think it turned out okay.

Surreal Human/Nature Portrait

I did not take any of these photos, but when I saw the photo of Sharbat Gula on National Geographic, I suddenly remembered that there was this project. I then decided to use her as my subject for the surrealism and when I looked at the color of her scarf ( hijab? ) I thought of the Grand Canyon and looked up "red rocks". After getting both of the photos, I opened up a new file, added the background and then resized and moved the photo of Sharbat Gula to where I thought it would fit. Because the original color of the rocks were too orange, I decided to color over it with a red and blend it in with her scarf ( hijab? ).

Shape/Color Cartoon Character

This is Ipsum and she is my idea of what a cup of pudding would look like. Because I lived in Japan last year, I suddenly remembered all of the good food I bought ( and wasted my money on ) and decided to make my character based on pudding. Ipsum was born in a pudding factory in Japan and is now sailing down a river of chocolate on her plate. She is usually chill and goes with the flow, like the way a cup of pudding would jiggle whichever way you forced it to. ( that sounds weird lol ) But if you anger her ( which is very hard to do ) she will cut you with her scythe/sharp spoon. Her favorite things to do is listening to music ( K-Pop ) and dancing ( she just wiggles ). Her least favorite things are other people's unwanted opinion and zucchini. Ipsum's job is a ferry man for other people's characters to cross the chocolate river.

Puzzle Face

This is my Puzzle Face Project that was kind of fun. It was really hard finding a decent photo of myself so I just went on my phone and found this photo that I sent to my friend after doing my makeup. I then finally figured out how to use the "marquee" tool and actually used it correctly ( I think ). I then went to Edit, selected Stroke, and then put the width of the pixels to 7.

Zombify Yourself

This is my zombify yourself project. I took a photo with Shriya in Photobooth doing weird hand motions because we are very awkward. I think this is my worst project yet because I don't really like the way that the cracked skin is. I think it is way too large so I had to really shrink the picture of cracks down and lower the opacity to less than 20% and add discoloration to our exposed body parts. Then, I decided to make our eyes glow by adding a dark, dull, base color and then a brighter shade right in the middle of it. Now, I realize that I kind of look like a tan vampire with red eyes and black hair and Shriya looks like a werewolf with the yellow eyes.

Color Focus on Black and White Photo

On the top is the original photo. At first I wanted to repaint the water but then I realized that it did not have that many colors. And then I saw the pagodas ( I mean, how could I not? ) and decided to recolor it because I really liked the way it brought the focus to each part of the photo as the little building on the right is also colored, albeit only with dull colors.

Self with Former Self

The person on the left, or creature, is me dressing up for Halloween in 2016. I'm trying to mimic my weird arm poses because when I smiled for a camera I always looked broken, be it my arm or leg. The original photo of me was just a portrait and stopped at where my current arm ends. Because I made the photo of me on a blank file that was a landscape type I had to draw the rest of the wall. After taking a photo of myself ( the current me obvi ) I resized the image and added a light shadow using a very "fuzzy" brush at a low opacity.

Repetition Portrait

This is my Repetition Portrait. To do this, I had Haly go behind me and stick her hands out by my head. After that, I opened up a new file, stuck this photo on there on Layer 2 ( the white background being Layer 1 ) and then lassoed her left hand. After that,  I moved it to a different file where the original photo was the first layer and then duplicated the hands twice to create three on my left side. Then I did the same to the right. Next, I got this random photo of fire and lowered the opacity and kind of erased all of the remaining white part.

Celebrity Photobomb!

In this photo I went to the Bellagio in Las Vegas with my family over the weekend. I then searched up for a semi nice photo of a celebrity but then decided choosing a celebrity I knew which was Jimin from the K-Pop band BTS ( which you should definitely go stan *wink wink* ) Because he was already on a white background, I used the magnetic lasso tool and then took the cutout to my family photo.

Cartoon Head on a Regular Body

This is my real face, which is in a slight imitation of Jigsaw ( I am just making stuff up because this doesn't even remotely look like him ) I decided to draw a little red cowboy hat to prepare myself for my move to Texas. Before that, I drew a circle in black and then filled that with white using the bucket tool. I also drew very thick eyebrows that were inspired by my brother.

Create Your Own Font

This is my font that I created. Some people may think that I just rushed through this project just to get it over with, but they are very wrong because I spent a lot of time working on it. I wanted to create a font that would make the people who used it laugh because it is just so amazing. Just like how the ugly duckling was the only ugly one, I tried to make each letter different so they could be unique.

Contour/Collage Portrait

This is my contour/collage project and to cover the background and half my face, I used things that are most important to me and are a part of my life; food. Everything here except for the dogs, skateboard, bear, chicken, and paper with an "F", is what I lOvE to eat. ( and the lipstick )

Photoshop Makeover

I think this was a very fun assignment to do as I really enjoy changing the appearances of people ( in a non weird way???) I gave myself purple eyebrows because when I was in sixth grade I temporarily dyed my eyebrows purple on a whim. After that, I tried to even out my skin tone which went very "well".

Hybrid Character

For this project I decided to use Mickey Mouse as my "base" animal. I then erased his ears and added Dumbo's ears. Afterwards, I added Road Runner's tail behind him.

Colorized Drawing

This is my colorized drawing of some random kpop star I found on Instagram. A long time ago, I sketched her out, so I decided to scan that sketch and use it on Photoshop. And then I realized that it was sketched lighting in pencil so I redrew the entire thing. After redrawing it completely, I filled in all of the flat colors and tried to add some variation wi†h her hair and dress. It may look slightly weird as the right side doesn't have the weird gold patterns but in the original photo it did not.

Animated Gif- Flying "Khaly"

This is my gif of "Khaly", and I was very confused when making this. With the help of Ms. Forrest and her instructions I actually did it correctly. I took a burst photo on my phone and then uploaded them to my computer. After downloading them, I finally got to use the Adobe Photoshop Ps, which always confused me as to what it was even used for.

Panoramic Image

This is my panoramic image. To make this I took multiple photos and aligned them while still making them look slightly "off".

Retouching Assignment

Retouched:
Original:
This was actually a very difficult project for me to complete. Using the band aid tool was quick and efficient, but when I had to basically recolor the entire left ( her right ) cheek, I couldn't use it anymore. By using many different colors that I thought would match her skin color, I had to make all of them very low in opacity and blended all of the colors together.

Photo Collage with Text Features

I actually got to make good use of all of the weird photos I take of myself randomly with friends ( and by myself ) so this project was very fun. I chose lots of photos and tried to find cartoon characters that matched with it.

Magazine Cover Assignment

I could have done a lot better with finding an original cover that would math my skin well but I kind of got lazy and got the first one I saw. I tried finding a photo of myself with my face doing the same facial expression and ended up choosing a photo of me playing with makeup with only one eye with eyeshadow on. After I chose a photo I erased everything but my face and had to redraw my forehead area because I had messed up. And then I blurred the edges.

Movie Poster

For this assignment I used the movie poster for Instant Family. After I took a photo of my face using photo booth I then blended in all of the edges and colored the neck to match my skin tone.

Classical "Painted" Portrait

I think this is the best photo I have ever taken of myself. I added lots of filters to this and it kind of looks like it was painted on a dry canvas.

Creative Blurring

I don't really know what I did I just blurred it with one of the tools and it really isn't that funny but it just makes me laugh every time I see this.

Triple Portait ( Evollution )

This entire project was very bad for my stomach. As soon as I searched up chicken, all these beautiful photos of food with chicken came up which made me so hungry. I decided to do a chicken egg to a chicken to my dinner.

Self-Portrait Montage with Different Filters

I already have a lot of weird photos of myself with weird filters ( because I am a narcissist ) so it wasn't that hard to get the photos of myself for the montage. I layered all of them because it kind of looks like a weird family photo of me from different dimensions/time periods.

Portrait Montage Using Different Backgrounds

This is my only good portrait I took recently of myself and that was a month ago.  I took lots of pretty backgrounds ( in my own opinion ) and decided not to blend the edges together because I kind of liked the way that they looked all sharp against each other as my picture is kind of blurry.

Candyland Landscape

This was a really fun project to do because I got to place lots of fun touches to the picture. I think my favorite part of this was making the dead gingerbread man on the right look like he is laying down. I had to change the perspective and it actually turned out nice. Surprisingly, I actually found a tombstone brownie and erased the bottom portion of the brownie to make it look like dirt.

Art Addition to Masterpiece

I truly think this is the best project I have ever done in both Card 1 and 2. I really like how the hair I drew closest to my neck on the left side really looks like the original hair by Albrecht Durer. Because I don't like to whitewash my face or alter it in any way color-wise, I decided to make the hands more pinker. I had a fun time coloring my eyebrows blonde, and now I know what hair colors I should never dye my hair.

Repetition Used in a Creative Way

I really like the way everything turned out for this project. It took me a while working on each side, one ballerina at a time. After I resized and repositioned a ballerina on the left side ( for example ), I then duplicated the layer and put it directly opposite of it. I considered coloring the backgrounds for a long time, but in the end, I think that the white really makes them seem more separated ( and better? )
